Traditionally, cookery schools in Italy have
been for the wealthy and retired or semi-retired, and to a large
extent, in Tuscany, they still are. It is, in the end, who can
best afford such prices. But here in provincial Italy, real life
is still very affordable. It’s allowed us to keep our classes
available to a diverse range of people from various age groups,
nations and economic backgrounds.

covers everything except Wednesday lunch, once you arrive in Lecce (most eat
only a sandwich out in preparation of our sausage making that night). Course
begins Sunday night and runs until Friday night, although we help you with your
Saturday departure.
Weekend courses:
920 Euro per person
795 Euro per person– Double Occupancy
A teasing taste of what we do. Price covers everything, once you arrive in Lecce.
Courses start at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night runs until Sunday evening, around
midnight.
Day
courses:
350 Euro per person
For those just travelling through. Price covers all lessons and
meals (but not transportation nor lodging). These courses tend
to be for those already in Lecce, often for other reasons. We meet
at 10 a.m. in the city’s main piazza and
go until midnight, often taking a 3-hour break in the centre of the day. |

or meals, either by electing to do so, or by late arrival or early departure.

This is an industry standard.

or damage to person or property or additional cost resulting directly or indirectly
from the following causes: fire, acts of government, thefts, delays, cancellations
or for any other events with which we have no control.
No refunds will be given for any sightseeing, accommodations, meals, or excursions
that the participant misses or decides not to take.
Tuition for all our courses includes housing, all lessons, field trips, meals,
drinks, wine out at the wine bar, etc., in short, there are no additional fees
(note: housing is NOT included for single Day Classes). We even strongly recommend
against a rental car, an often-hidden additional cost contained in the price
of most rurally-held, Central Italian schools.
For housing and accommodation information, please visit our Housing
page.
How to Pay
Our preferred method of payment is through the online service, PayPal, a safe,
modern service that allows you to make payments in your local currency. During
the registration process, you will be asked to make your accompanying payment.
Those registering over one calendar year in advance MAY request to pay by deposit.
All others pay at time of registration. Sorry, we can not justify ‘holding’ a
course for a potential students when there are others ready to register. If
you’re serious about coming, there is only one way to secure your place
at The Awaiting Table.
Travel Insurance
We recommend that you purchase separate insurance in case you have to cancel
