Silvestro Silvestori
With
multiple degrees in humanities-related disciplines from
both Italian and US universities, Silvestro Silvestori
has worked as a baker, a butcher, a wine merchant, a
wedding cake decorator and as a waiter in over thirty
different restaurants.

Feeling a continual pull toward the pragmatic understanding
of the foods and beverages we eat and drink, he continues to
work brief stints in the various aspects of small-scale agricultural
and food-production. To date he has participated in the wine-making
process of four different nations.
He's taught photography (most of the photographs on this site
are his) and both Italian and English grammar. The Awaiting Table
allows him to return to his first love: teaching the authentic,
regional Italian home cookery of Puglia, the birthplace of his
great grand-parents. |
